Happy Birthday Elizabeth..I LOVE YOU!!

My beautiful daughter turned 19 today...she was a very beautiful baby and is a very beautiful young woman today!! Even though there was much happiness in the memory of her birth for me...I know that today probably had much heartache for her...I'm sure that she was thinking a lot about Jared..and how much she wished he was here...Some things are really hard to understand. For me this has been very, very hard. I think we all want the best for our children. I never once doubted that this young man was the right one for my daughter. I thought the world of him! It is very hard to understand why God let him go away...Even though I was so happy to have Elizabeth here with me today..I still missed Jared being here for her!!! I know time heals all wounds but this has been very difficult...Happy Birthday Elizabeth!! I LOVE YOU!! Jared..(I miss you!!)

Our Crocus

I am so excited!! Our first Crocus...and it looks like many more to come. I know there's other flowers coming up as well, but this was the first to actually bloom. It was a beautiful day here and Sam and I went out to investigate the nature scene in our yard. YEAH SPRING....I've been in the Spring mode for a while...hence the green background on my page..lol :)

Outside my window...Sunshine and a little snow left over from this weekend

I am thinking....that I can't wait for Spring

I am thankful for...everyone starting to get over the horrible flu

the learning room...we are taking it very slow today..(recovering)

From the kitchen....chili..it's cold and everyone is getting sick of chicken noodle soup

I am wearing.. a blue top and tan pants...and flip flops (always)

I am creating..working on finishing my son's quilt

I am going..probably nowhere today...I've not been feeling well either

I am reading..DEWEY The Small-Town Cat Who Touched the World

I am hoping...that the weather warms up...brrrr

I am hearing..coughing from my sick troup

Around the house..washing machine running and vacuum will be joining in very soon..

One of my favorite things..getting a card in the mail from someone I love..

A few plans for the rest of the week..To catch up on schoolwork from sicktime off..work on my knitting, and hopefully have a happy and productive week!

My Pillow!!

I thought I would post a picture of my quilted pillow. I had originally started doing a quilt square a month with a quilt store but then my life got crazy. So, I decided to use the squares I had and make them into a pillow! I should have showed a picture of the back of the pillow too. The fabric I used had a quilting theme with quiliting words all over it. It is really cute. The squares were pretty difficult to do. They weren't exactly beginners squares!! It was fun though!!

Spring in February?

I just had to show this to everyone...I can't believe my eyes!! Evidentally, some of the spring flowers have decided that it is time to make an appearance!! The weather has definately been crazy...Rain and thundershowers..it hit 60 today. Then we have a chance of snow later this week!! I seriously am very, very ready for spring..I think these little guys are Hyacinths. We are new to this home and yard and so all things coming up are going to be surprises for me. I can't wait!!

Finally, Pics of the new little guy!! Yes, he is adorable..and yes, he keeps us all very busy!! I do have to say the pictures don't do him all the justice that he deserves though....He is an absolutely beautiful little puppy. Again...busy but beautiful!! Introducing..Mickey :)

P.S. The one of him sleeping...he is laying on the heating pad!! He is a heating pad addict..He and I fight over it....
